This course was very lecture heavy--as long as you memorize most of the information from the slides and understand the main takeaways/controversies from lecture material, you should be fine. There are rarely any calculations to do and it's not math-heavy. There is one paper to write and 3 problem sets which are mostly unit analysis and simple math. It's not  extremely intellectually stimulating compared to thermodynamics or any mandatory engineering course but there are some interesting topics discussed.
